  • 14 1902 (Fri.) Presentation of the mayoral chain to the Borough, at the Guildhall at 11.30. The donor was the Revd R. B. Jenkins, rector of Llangoedmor, representing his late father Ald. R. D. Jenkins, Priory and Cilbronnau. The lucky mayor was Capt. J. H. Williams.

  • 13 1889 (Wed.) Death of Hannah Harries, aged 70 years, wife of Thomas Richard Harries, Upper Mwldan
  • 12 1968 (Mon.) “Charles Windsor shall not pass. Remember 1282” posters were stuck on windows and doors of several people in the town overnight including the mayor (Percy Griffiths’ )  residence – who was also chairman of the local Investiture Committee.

  • 11 1903 (Wed.) Fire gutted house and shop of B. B. Davies, Tailor, St Mary St. (near the Angel Hotel).
