8/9 Birth of the bard Thomas Evans (Telynog) at  Netpool Cottages. Correction – he was born in 1839 according to his birth certificate.

28/10 Sheridan’s Rivals performed by Mr Bass’s company at the Theatre Cardigan under the patronage of A L Gwynne, Monachty and E Lloyd Williams, Aldebrook Hall, Stewards of the Hunt.
