  • 12 1898 (Fri.) Rifles Volunteer Band (leader Col. Sgt. Tom Lewis) played for the first time in Kiosk at Victoria Gardens.
  • 12 1873 (Tues.) Heather Bell launched by Messrs John Williams and son at Netpool.
